SPIRITUAL GIFTS: MISSIONARY

Our desire is that every Christ-follower is an active member of a local church and to know what spiritual gifts God has given them for building up the church and the common good. Once you have an idea of how God has gifted you with unique manifestations of the Spirit, use the following next-step guide to help you develop and deploy your gifts as good stewards of God’s varied grace.

MISSIONARY

The gift of a missionary is the divine enablement to minister whatever other spiritual gifts they have in a second culture.

HOW TO DEVELOP:

This could very much be linked to either short-term mission trips or long-term church planting endeavours and so spend some time praying and see if God begins highlighting specific people or cultures to you.

  • Share this with your leaders and trust God to open doors.

  • Ask if there are any Mission or Church Strengthening Trips that are happening in other contexts and ask if you could join the team.

  • Consider joining a church plant that might be happening, even if it's not in a foreign country but simply reaching out to a different subculture.
