We live in a broken, fallen world. Life can be hard and this means that often we are going to be tempted to throw in the towel, give up on Jesus, and get swayed by things that look more promising than they really are. The book of James encourages us to keep going; to bring whole-hearted devotion; to persevere to the end and to help others to do the same.
